Rose Marie Bowen, the visionary behind our brand, has transformed her life’s work into an art form that celebrates the rich tapestry of flavors and cultures found in Caribbean dishes.

Our Founder: Chef Rose Marie Bowen

Born and raised in Jamaica, Chef Rose’s culinary path was inspired by the island’s lush landscapes and the vibrant culture that pulses through its veins. Her journey began at the renowned Half Moon Resort in Rosehall, Jamaica, where she quickly made a name for herself with her innovative approach to traditional Jamaican cuisine.

Her talents took her across the globe, from prestigious kitchens in Austria to serving a diverse clientele in Germany and the United States. Throughout her travels, Chef Rose not only shared her culinary creations but also absorbed the flavors and techniques of other cultures, enriching her own culinary palette.

Returning to Delmarva, Chef Rose decided it was time to offer her extensive experience and passion for Jamaican and Caribbean cuisine through her own catering service, Chef Rose Spices and Catering. Here, she combines the traditional with the contemporary, creating dishes that are both familiar and excitingly new.
